I recently finished deck post install using side mount deck post bracket. In general, this is a great product to secure posts to the deck fascia and I’m happy with the quality. I would not recommend using these for corner posts. There isn’t enough wood to secure the bracket as outlined in the installation documentation. Also, there are better screws for direct wood installs, such as GRKs.
